Campus 2 Community, through its action plan “SCHOOL BELL” has been profoundly involved in developing the infrastructure of government schools in the remote villages with special attention on the learning ambience. The Gandhian approach to basic education is a holistic one, where all aspects of the individual-intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual—are cultivated in a curriculum that integrates learning with hands on work that prepares young people for their life in the world, rather than containing them and separating them from the “real” world and surrounding community. Team School Bell from Campus2Community inspired by Gandhian views on Rural India and Education are profoundly involved in the development of government schools in remote rural areas.

The main aim of School Bell is to rejuvenate government schools located in remote rural areas across Karnataka by refurbishing the school premises and make learning more colorful to the students. Young and energetic volunteers residing in urban areas from various colleges and others participate enthusiastically to brighten the walls of wisdom. I was one the volunteer for school bell activity. I can tell that this is one of the best activity done from my side. Through school bell I feel bringing life to those walls and bring a positive learning atmosphere to the school. I am sure the kids would love their school more.

My experience in camp was too good. I have learnt many things like discipline, time management, mingle with others. I have participated & also organised more than 10 camps & It makes us confident it also gives more experiences. We used to work together, enjoy together & now we are like a family to work for the nation.
