Srishti is an icon for creativity, innovation and challenge. Srishti began with the objective of providing a platform to the creative enthusiastic engineering students, budding scientists, and to give an insight to the entrepreneurial avenues wide open to them. Srishti is also an effort to develop interaction and bridge contemporary gaps between Industry and Institutions. Every year, hundreds of passionate students from prestigious Institutions from across Karnataka participate in the Project Exhibition and Competition after a series of scrutiny by the technical committee which consists of the faculties from IISc, IIT, NIT and other prestigious Tech Institutions. On the whole, Srishti instills the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the willing and aspiring youth.
SRISHTI started in 2001. It was held as KEPEX-Karnataka Engineering Student Project Exhibition. Recognizing that innovation is an ongoing process, we organized a Srishti Product Development Network (SPDN) in 2005 to continually promote student research and development efforts. So far, 16 massive events of Srishti have been held in different districts of Karnataka.
Objectives of SRISHTI:
To take students on a journey of innovation exchange, Srishti has been transformed in a three-step process.
It is an unique initiative where students from diverse backgrounds pick a problem and work for a duration of 8-10 months and present a working solution at the Annual Srishti event. This will be a collaboration between civic agencies, reputed organizations and institutions.
It is Karnataka’s largest Engineering project exhibition. Students from engineering colleges across Karnataka apply to be a part of this technical extravaganza to showcase their innovative skills and their technical acumen. Interesting and innovative projects of Srishti Challenge and Srishti will graduate from Srishti+. Incubation support is provided in the best facilities of Yuvaka Sangha. Here the project is molded into a product. With continuous mentorship and support can turn an idea into a marketable solution. Srishti + is one such attempt.
